Cape League Games

Our First Place Western Division Braves got sweet revenge last night when they beat Eastern Division first place Y-D Red Sox 2-1 in a classic battle.
Previously Y-D had beaten us by a called balk in the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs and darkness approaching. After a pick off attempt to first and a quick throw to the plate to nail the runner for the third out,( which would have ended the game with the two first place teams in a 5 to 5 tie ) the first base umpire calls a balk on the move to first and allows the winning run to score and then calls the game due to darkness. Once again a classic battle who's outcome was not decided by the players but by an official thinking he was bigger than the moment.
What do you think about this years umpiring collection ?

Technorati Profile

Cold Ice Cream on a Hot Day

What better way to spend a lazy hazy evening but at the Whistle Stop in Mo Beach. Cool breeze from Phinney's Harbor, people playing tennis on the courts, children running and playing on the beach. Summer time !

Where do you cool down?

A New Beginning

I've spent the majority of my life on Cape Cod and I thought I would like to share information and memories of my time on this magnificant island.

I ask all of you to share your new, old, personal or professional comments and knowledge with me.

My love for the Cape Cod Baseball league will be evident. The Braves will always be my favorite! My Family and I have housed players since 1992. It is an experience that we cherish. From the fun and exciting deep sea fishing trips to the dejection of giving up the first home run and loss in 3 years. Pictured on the mound is Steven Hensley (Watch for him in the Major Leagues in a few years)

Historical tidbits of Bourne will be discussed and anyone with info from any of the other towns on the Cape please feel free to enlighten me.

Development of the Cape, changing dynamics and where is the best fishing will be discussed.

Please join me in enjoying My Cape Cod.
